Integrated Community Wellbeing Framework (ICWF)
A structured framework supporting the design, implementation and validation of community wellbeing systems.
The Integrated Community Wellbeing Framework (ICWF) provides a structured approach to designing, implementing and validating community development initiatives. The framework supports h pilot implementation, evidence capture and the responsible replicable of programmes across communities and regions.
Version 1.0 - March 2026
Why the Framework Was Developed
Many community initiatives struggle to scale or sustain impact due to limited evaluation systems, weak coordination, or insufficient evidence frameworks. ICWF was developed to provide a structured architecture that guides the design, validation and replication of community wellbeing programmes.

• structured implementation
• evidence before replication
• collaboration across institutions
About The H.E.L.P Team

The H.E.L.P Team (Healing Every Living Person) is a non-profit organisation focused on advancing community wellbeing through sustainable development, local enterprise support, and culturally grounded initiatives across Africa.
Through its work with communities and local partners in countries including Nigeria, Senegal, Morocco, and The Gambia, the organisation has supported initiatives that strengthen livelihoods, promote health and wellbeing, and develop sustainable value chains.
The Integrated Community Wellbeing Framework (ICWF) emerged from these practical experiences and ongoing research into how community initiatives can be implemented, evaluated, and replicated in ways that are both evidence-based and locally grounded.

The H.E.L.P Team continues to refine and apply the ICWF as a structured framework for pilot programmes, learning cycles, and collaborative development initiatives with partners across regions.
Core Framework Principles
The ICWF operates through a set of guiding principles that ensure community initiatives are implemented responsibly and scaled with evidence
Principle 1
Evidence Before Expansion
Decision for replication follows proven outcomes
Principle 2
Community Context First
Every site begins with cultural and social baseline
Principle 3
Structured Learning
Continuous monitoring drives programme refinement
Principle 5
Institutional Collaboration
Partnerships ensure scientific credibility and sustainability
Principle 4
Controlled Replication
Scaling only after meeting defined evidence thresholds
Implementation Model

1. Community assessment
2. Pilot Implementation
3. Evidence and Validation
4. Learning and refinement
5. Replication and scale

Partnership Ecosystem

ICWF collaborates with:

• Governments
• Civil Society Organizations
• Academia Institutions
• Development Partners
• Community Stakeholders

Collaboration Opportunities
The H.E.L.P Team welcomes dialogues with institutions, research organisations, and development partners interested in exploring the application of ICWF framework in pilot or collaborative programmes.
